The Abrahamic Family House honors the winners of the Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb Mosque Holy Quran competition

ABU DHABI, 22nd May / WAM / The Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb Mosque, in the Abrahamic Family House, organized a ceremony honoring the winners of the third session of this year’s Holy Quran Competition, in a festive atmosphere that reflects the importance of the competition and its role in supporting memorizers of the Book of God and encouraging them to excel.
The ceremony was held in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hamad Muhammad Al-Suwaidan, Acting CEO of the Abrahamic Family House Centre, and His Excellency Mubarak Al Hosani, Director of the Office of the Emirates International Holy Quran Award.
Dr. Mahmoud Najah, imam and preacher of the Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb Mosque in the Abrahamic Family House, said on this occasion that the ceremony honoring the participants and winners in the third session of the Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb Mosque Holy Qur’an Competition comes in celebration of the blessed efforts made by the contestants in memorizing and reciting the Book of God, and in appreciation of the distinguished level they presented that reflects their deep connection to Qur’anic values.
He explained that organizing this competition, in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, embodies a model of institutional partnership aimed at caring for memorizers of the Holy Qur’an and encouraging young people to adhere to the Holy Qur’an for inspiration in its meanings in behavior and daily life, and to strengthen the system of moral and human values.
He pointed out that the competition represents an important step in consolidating the spirit of positive competition among participants from different emirates of the country, and from multiple age groups and nationalities, which reflects the depth of societal diversity that the UAE embraces, and confirms its position as a global model of moderation and coexistence.
He stressed that these Qur’anic initiatives will remain a fundamental pillar of the mosque’s programmes, in a way that strengthens the connection of emerging generations with the Book of God, and supports its vision of building a cohesive society based on common human values.
For its part, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat congratulated the winners of this achievement and called on them to preserve it and practice its morals, and to be a good role model for society and generations, stressing that organizing many local and international Qur’anic competitions within the country embodies the interest of the UAE and its wise leadership in serving the Qur’an, supporting its institutions, and honoring its memorizers, out of its belief in the greatness of the Book of God and its effective role in refining souls and consolidating moral, humane and tolerant values among all segments of society. Praising the development witnessed by this award in all its affairs.
The competition was held at the Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb Mosque in the Abrahamic Family House, during the period from 16 to 26 February, under the supervision of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat.
It witnessed distinguished participation from various emirates of the country, including multiple age groups and nationalities, with 150 participants competing in five categories: memorizing the entire Holy Qur’an, memorizing 20 parts, memorizing 10 parts, memorizing 5 parts, and memorizing one part.
The organizers of the competition honored the top five male and female winners in the various categories of the competition, amounting to 50 male and female winners, in recognition of their excellence in memorizing the Book of God. All participating contestants were also honored, in appreciation of their efforts and to encourage them to continue the path of excellence and diligence.
The Abrahamic Family House continues to fulfill its humanitarian and civilizational mission as a pioneering model for interreligious and intercultural dialogue, through its initiatives and programs that promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace, and support building bridges of understanding between the various components of society.
It also establishes its role as a global center for disseminating common values derived from heavenly messages, which contributes to consolidating the UAE’s position as a role model for coexistence and mutual respect.
