المملكة: "the environment": A high abundance of sacrifices to meet the needs of the guests of God


The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture revealed the abundance of high productivity in the livestock sector in the Kingdom, which contributes to enhancing the ability of local markets to meet the increasing demand of pilgrims during Hajj season 1447 AH, ensuring the availability of their Sacrificesof high quality.

The Ministry explained that the livestock sector plays a pivotal role in supporting food security and achieving self-sufficiency, through the development and development of animal resources in a sustainable manner. It also contributes to strengthening the animal health system to prevent diseases, noting that the sector includes more than (22) million heads of sheep, about (7.6) million heads of goats, and more than (2.2) million heads of camels, in addition to more than (510) thousands of heads of cows.

Intensive supervision

The Ministry confirmed the readiness of the local markets and slaughterhouses in Mecca to meet the needs of pilgrims, amid an abundance of supply and high quality in local production, which contributes to the stability of the markets and the provision of various options for consumers.

It noted the continuation of its monitoring and field efforts during the Hajj season, by intensifying inspection tours and field visits to public utility markets and slaughterhouses. and related facilities; To ensure abundant supply, and workers’ adherence to health and technical requirements and approved systems, ensuring the safety of the products and preserving the health and safety of the pilgrims.
