The weather situation in Mash’ar Arafat
The general supervisor of Hajj and Umrah works at the center, Dr. Turki Habibullah, explained that the center follows the weather condition in Mash’ar Arafat through a network of technologies. Modern.
It includes: weather radars, satellite images, automatic and manned stations, in addition to mobile stations for measuring the upper layers of the atmosphere, which contributes to ensuring the accuracy of forecasts and keeping pace with the requirements of agencies working in the field.
Five meteorological stations
He added that the monitoring coverage includes five meteorological stations distributed between the Arafat and Muzdalifah centers, which are: the semi-automated monitoring station, and the monitoring station. The manned and automatic monitoring station in Wadi Arnah in Mash’ar Arafat, and the automatic monitoring station in Mash’ar al-Haram, in addition to the mobile automatic monitoring station in Muzdalifah.
It is expected that Mash’ar Arafat will witness maximum temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius, with humidity that may reach 50%, active northerly to northeasterly winds at a speed of up to 36 km/hour, and skies Partly cloudy.
