The athletics team competes in 3 Asian competitions in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, May 28 / WAM / Our national athletics team will open its participation in the 22nd Asian Under-20 Championship currently being held in Hong Kong, and will continue until the first of next June, with 3 competitions.

The UAE Athletics Federation explained, in a statement, that participation begins today through Saeed Omar, Sulaiman Abdul Rahman, Aminat Qamar Al-Din and Aisha Tariq in the 400-meter race for men and women, along with Arwa Ali and Laila Ahmed in the 100-meter race for women, and Salma Al-Marri in the hammer competition.

The Federation confirmed the complete readiness of the national team’s male and female players to take on the new challenge that awaits them in the tournament, and to compete for the first places, after the distinguished results achieved recently by the national teams in the Arab Championship in Tunisia and the “Doha 2026” Gulf Games, by winning 25 medals.

The team’s list participating in the tournament includes 11 male and female players, namely Saeed Omar, Suleiman Abdul Rahman, Aisha Tariq, Aminat Qamar Al-Din, Abdul Quddus Ali, Arwa Ali, Laila Ahmed, Azza Nasser, Muhammad Adel, Salma Al-Marri, and Maryam Karim.
