"Abu Dhabi for Jiu-Jitsu professionals" She unveils her most prominent championships in the next stage

Abu Dhabi, 1st June / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Association of Jiu-Jitsu Professionals (AJP) unveiled the agenda of its championships during the next stage, which includes a series of international competitions in Europe, Africa, Russia and the UAE, as part of its efforts to expand the base of practitioners of the game, enhance its global presence, and provide more opportunities for athletes to score points and improve their positions in the annual rankings.

The Association announced that the Greek National Jiu-Jitsu Championship will be held on June 6 in the Greek capital, Athens, with suit and non-suit competitions. It is a tournament open to all nationalities and age groups, from buds, cubs, juniors, and youth, to amateurs, professionals, and masters, men and women.

The tournament is of particular importance in the annual classification race. It is worth 1,000 points for the first-place winner, and the official weigh-in procedures are scheduled to begin at five in the evening on June 5, and continue on the morning of the tournament from seven until ten in the morning, while the competitions will be hosted by the “Diaz Athletic Center” hall in Athens.

The Association also announced the organization of the Western European Championship, which will begin on June 7 in the Spanish city of Barcelona, ​​and will be dedicated to suit and non-suit competitions, and for all belts and weights. The first place winner is awarded 800 points in the annual classification.

The Luanda Jiu-Jitsu Festival will also be held on June 7 in Kenya for all belts, weights, and age levels for boys and girls, with the aim of spreading the game, creating champions, and developing the sport of jiu-jitsu in Africa by creating a professional international platform that enhances opportunities to uncover talent and create champions.

On the same day, the Russian capital, Moscow, will witness the holding of the “Moscow Festival,” which is open to all nationalities and all age groups, and which will be dedicated to suit competitions in weights, belts, and different age levels for boys and girls, which enhances the diversity of the tournaments organized by the association and its spread in global sports markets.

In the UAE, the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi will host the UAE National Championship competitions from June 12 to 14, with the participation of hundreds of players of different nationalities, belts and age groups. The tournament awards the first-place winners with 1,000 points, making it one of the most prominent ranking stations during the month.

The Association also revealed the launch of the competitions of the new season of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam tournament series, through the Istanbul round in Turkey, whose competitions will be held during the 20th and 21st of June, which is considered one of the strongest and most competitive tournaments of the Association. The first place winner gets 2,000 points, with participation open to different age groups and belt levels.

Tariq Al-Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association, confirmed that the announced championships reflect the association’s continued efforts to develop this sport at the international level, and to consolidate its presence in the various continents of the world, by organizing professional championships in accordance with the highest technical and organizational standards.

He said that the June agenda represents an important station for athletes seeking to improve their global rankings and gain more competitive experience, noting that the diversity of tournaments between different continents contributes to expanding the base of practitioners and attracting new talents to the sport.

He added that the Association continues to work on providing integrated competitive platforms that contribute to discovering champions and refining their skills, in a way that supports the growth of the game globally, and strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global center for developing Jiu-Jitsu and organizing its most prominent tournaments, pointing out that the continued successes of the tournaments reflect the growing international confidence in the work system that the Association has established over the past years.
