The UAE national team participates in the Asian Beach Rowing Championship in Thailand

Dubai, June 3 / WAM / The UAE Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation announced the participation of the UAE modern rowing team in the Asian Beach Rowing Championship, which is hosted by the Thai city of Pattaya during the period from 6 to 8 June.
15 Asian teams are participating in the tournament: the UAE, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the Philippines, Singapore, Uzbekistan, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Vietnam.
The UAE national team is represented in the tournament by five players: Ahmed Khamis Al Hammadi, Mohammed Salman Saif, Hamad Abdullah Al Hosani, Salem Ali Al Mansouri, and Mohammed Salem Al Suwaidi, under the supervision of technical director Mehdi Qaridi and coach Sayed Ali Waheed.
Mohammed Al Obaidli, Secretary General of the UAE Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, confirmed that the national team is entering the tournament with great ambitions to compete for advanced positions and climb to the podium, praising the preparations that preceded participation and the technical and physical readiness of the players.
He added that the federation’s strategy, headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, is based on enhancing the presence of national teams in various continental and international tournaments, and raising the country’s flag in foreign forums, which reflects the support that Emirati sports enjoy and contributes to consolidating its position on the Asian and international arenas.
