Mohammed bin Rashid adopts a decision to reconstitute the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, headed by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh
DUBAI, 9 JUNE / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, adopted a decision to reconstitute the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.
The Board of Directors includes His Excellency Dr. Yousef Muhammad Ali Al Sarkal, Director General of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, as Vice President and Managing Director, Sheikh Maktoum Butti Suhail Butti Al Maktoum, Director of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai, Dr. Aisha Muhammad Abdullah Yassin, Member of the Council of Ras Al Khaimah University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Abdul Wahab Al Halabi, Member of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holding, Muhammad Omar Karim, Chief Investment Officer of Dubai Holding Group, and Nitin Khanna Kumar. The most prominent competencies of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, a federal institution affiliated with the Council of Ministers, include enhancing the efficiency of the federal health sector, providing the necessary health care, curative and preventive services, proposing and following up on the implementation of policies, strategies and standards related to the health and preventive care sector and public health in the country, in addition to establishing and managing hospitals, health centers and federal health facilities, and enhancing their efficiency.
The specializations also include supporting and qualifying national human cadres, attracting the best specialists in various fields of health care, adopting the best health practices, digital technologies and solutions, and artificial intelligence in the field of health services, in accordance with international best practices, and qualifying hospitals and federal health centers to be accredited educational centers, in addition to encouraging and supporting medical studies and research provided for the purpose of developing the health sector and health facilities.
The Board of Directors of the Corporation is responsible for proposing the general policy of the Corporation and supervising its implementation, after its approval by the Council of Ministers, approving the systems, regulations and work plans necessary for the proper functioning of the Corporation, issuing regulations, policies, controls and standards that regulate the work of the Corporation and the facilities attached to it, in addition to participating in the development of the integrated national health system for health insurance at the state level in coordination with the concerned authorities in accordance with the best practices and systems followed in this regard.
