The Ministry explained that the guide provides integrated content that includes legal, regulatory, health and service instructions, according to a chronological sequence that keeps pace with the various stages of the pilgrim’s journey, with an emphasis on adherence to the instructions marked with the sign “Alert” due to the importance it represents in preserving the safety of visitors and the smooth flow of movement within the Two Holy Mosques.
She indicated that all Muslims coming to the Kingdom with various types of visas can perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque, noting the multiple channels for issuing visas and booking packages through the “Nisk Umrah” platform, the National Visa Platform, in addition to accredited external agents.
She also confirmed that the visa allows its holder to move between different Regions of the Kingdom throughout its validity period.
The final destination
The Ministry pointed out that Saudi air carriers provide a transit visa for passengers transiting through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina for a period of up to 96 hours, after confirming the final destination reservation.
The guide reviewed the transportation options available to pilgrims from King Abdulaziz International Airport to Mecca, which include the Haramain Express train and buses. Mecca, frequency transportation services, taxis and smart transportation applications, in addition to various means of travel towards Medina, with an emphasis on the commitment of groups to the transportation programs approved by Umrah companies.
Lost and Found Services
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah warned against bringing prohibited or customs-restricted materials, calling for avoiding crowding in baggage claim areas and taking advantage of lost and found services when needed.
The Ministry confirmed preventing the use of loudspeakers inside the Two Holy Mosques to avoid To disturb the worshipers, with the necessity of adhering to the places designated for prayer and sitting, and clearing the corridors and emergency exits in order to preserve everyone’s safety.
Political Slogans
In the most prominent warnings contained in the guide, the Ministry confirmed the complete prohibition of raising political slogans or engaging in any actions or activities that violate the regulations and instructions in force in the Kingdom, indicating that violators will be subject to legal accountability.
The Ministry called on pilgrims and visitors to avoid behaviors that may lead to self-harm or harm. Others, most notably the stampede while trying to touch the Holy Kaaba or reach the shrine of Abraham, peace be upon him, stressing the importance of maintaining calm and adhering to organizational instructions inside the sanctuary.
Comfort for worshipers
She also warned against using Zamzam water containers designated for drinking during ablution, and maintaining general cleanliness by not throwing waste outside the designated places, in addition to following up on children and preventing them from playing in the courtyards and corridors in a way that ensures the comfort of worshipers and visitors.
On the technical level, the Ministry stressed not to bring in large electronic devices such as computers, projectors, and large speakers, and to prevent the use of laser devices or professional cameras to photograph visitors without obtaining the necessary permits, in addition to avoiding playing video clips, games, and loud sounds via mobile phones in order to preserve the atmosphere of faith inside the Two Holy Mosques.
