"Ajman Port and Customs" Launches an artificial intelligence program that includes 20 initiatives

Ajman, June 15, 2017 – His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Head of the Ajman Port and Customs Department, launched the “Ajman Port and Customs for Artificial Intelligence” program during the 2026 Partners Forum, which includes 20 qualitative initiatives and projects that will be implemented during the period 2026-2027, with the aim of enhancing the department’s ability to keep pace with future changes, by improving the quality of services, raising the efficiency of operational processes, and benefiting from data and modern technologies to support decision-making.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi said that the launch of the program comes based on the generous directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, and in support of the objectives of the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program, and an embodiment of the directions of the Ajman government aimed at accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies and improving the efficiency of government work, which contributes to enhancing competitiveness, achieving sustainable development, and improving the quality of life for society.

He added that the program is a strategic step towards building a smarter, more efficient and proactive work system, and reflects the department’s commitment to adopting the best practices and modern technologies in a way that contributes to developing the services provided to customers, while extending to include society in general by contributing to improving the quality of life, simplifying the customer’s journey and providing more flexible and efficient services, in a way that enhances customer satisfaction and consolidates the position of the Emirate of Ajman as a leading destination in innovation and smart services.

He explained that launching this type of program does not mean investing in technology alone, but rather investing in people, their efficiency and ability, and in society and quality of life, in a way that ensures strengthening the economic growth system and building a more prosperous future for future generations.

The program was launched during the Partners Forum ceremony under the slogan “Smart Partnerships Create the Future,” with wide participation from strategic partners and representatives of government and local agencies and the private sector.

The forum witnessed the launch of the “Smart Partnerships Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence,” which aims to provide a common platform that brings together the department and its strategic partners to explore future opportunities, exchange ideas, and develop innovative initiatives and solutions based on artificial intelligence, in a way that supports the development of services and procedures, enhances institutional integration, and improves customer experience.

During the forum, the most prominent results achieved by the department during the past period were reviewed, and its future directions were highlighted, and the partners were honored in appreciation of their effective contributions and their role in supporting the achievements achieved.
