Del Toro guides "Emirates Cycling" Tawaf title "Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes" In France

Paris, June 15 / WAM / Mexican Isaac del Toro, rider of the Emirates XRG Team, was crowned champion of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, after winning the eighth and final stage of the race, achieving his second successive victory in the mountain stages.
Del Toro, 22 years old, succeeded in taking the lead during the final stage, which extended for 120 kilometers starting from Beaufort and concluded with an ascent to the summit of Plateau do Solison, after he presented a strong performance in the mountainous heights that enabled him to grab the yellow jersey and win the title.
Del Toro had entered the final day trailing behind Frenchman Luc Toquel in the general standings, before turning the tide with two successive victories on the Grand Colombier and Plateau du Solizon summits, clinching one of the most prominent weekly stage races on the world cycling calendar.
Del Toro confirmed after the coronation that the victory represents an important achievement for him and the team, praising the great support he received from his colleagues throughout the race, considering that this result gives him a strong morale boost before his expected participation in the Tour de France next month.
