Minister of Family: Zayed’s legacy and the wise leadership approach have consolidated the father’s position in building the family and the nation’s renaissance
Abu Dhabi, June 20 / WAM / Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of the Family, confirmed that the father constitutes a fundamental pillar on which the family is based, with the pivotal role he plays in education, guidance, instilling values and building confidence in children, and that his positive presence in the life of his family is directly reflected in the stability of the family, the cohesion of society, and his ability to prepare generations that will bear responsibility and contribute to creating the future.
On the occasion of Father’s Day, Her Excellency added that this day leads us to an immortal national legacy embodied by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and the founding fathers who provided an exceptional model of fatherhood, leadership and giving. Sheikh Zayed was a wise father to his children and the children of the Emirates, and through his humanitarian approach he instilled values that the wise leadership continues to embed in the conscience of society, based on compassion, solidarity, concern for people and empowerment of the family.
She explained that the UAE has established an integrated system to enhance the role of the father, including awareness programmes, community initiatives and services that help fathers deal with contemporary educational and social challenges, and support their active participation in the lives of their children. The “Year of the Family” comes to confirm this national trend, by supporting family cohesion and strengthening relationships between family members, thus consolidating the father’s position as a major partner in education and shaping the future of children.
Her Excellency the Minister of Family indicated that honoring the father is a tribute to giving, responsibility and role model, and a tribute to every father who contributed to building a stable family, instilled in his children love of the country and pride in its values, and contributed sincerely to creating a more prosperous future for future generations.
