Ajman Police intensifies awareness campaigns and initiatives to combat drugs

Ajman, June 26 / WAM / The Ajman Police General Command, represented by the Anti-Narcotics Department, continues its efforts to confront the scourge of drugs and its repercussions and limit its spread, coinciding with the World Anti-Drug Day, which falls on the twenty-sixth of June of each year, in confirmation of its firm commitment to protecting society, enhancing its security and stability, and consolidating the quality of life for its members.
His Excellency Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, stressed that the World Anti-Drug Day constitutes an important milestone to renew and unify efforts and strengthen community partnership in confronting this scourge, pointing out that combating drugs is a shared national and societal responsibility that requires the solidarity of all institutions and individuals to preserve the safety of society and protect future generations.
He explained that Ajman Police adopts an integrated system in combating drugs based on prevention, awareness and control, through the implementation of proactive security plans and awareness programs aimed at raising the level of awareness among various segments of society.
He added that the administration implements many initiatives, awareness campaigns, lectures and educational workshops throughout the year in cooperation with government and private agencies and educational institutions, with the aim of spreading a preventive culture, promoting positive behaviors and consolidating the concept of social responsibility in combating drugs.
His Excellency called on members of society to contribute to supporting national efforts to combat drugs, by cooperating with the competent authorities and reporting any information related to drugs or their dealers, stressing that maintaining a safe and drug-free society requires concerted efforts and working in a team spirit to achieve this year’s slogan, “Uniting ranks to eradicate the scourge.”
