Fujairah, June 27 / WAM / The Fujairah Chess and Culture Club has achieved remarkable progress in harnessing modern and advanced technologies in the game of chess through three steps that constituted milestones during its sporting career, which are introducing the robot into the game of chess, launching electronic tournaments, and implementing a mechanism for training lessons on the Internet.
Within the framework of this development trend, the Emirate of Fujairah has emerged as an incubating environment for the sport of chess by supporting initiatives that combine originality and technology, which has contributed to raising the level of players and expanding the base of practitioners from different age groups. This development has also been reflected in strengthening the club’s position at the local and international levels, by attracting modern training expertise and providing interactive educational platforms, which has made the Fujairah experience in chess a role model in integrating innovation with sustainable sports development.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Ali Al Barakat, Vice President of the International Chess Matters Federation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chess and Culture Club, stressed to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, the importance of the club adopting the best successful practices in harnessing modern technologies in the sport of chess, which is considered an important step in supporting the sports sector in addition to raising the players’ skills and enhancing their intellectual capabilities in making optimal use of technology.
Al Barakat said that the club seeks to keep pace with rapid developments, within clear standards that ensure the application of the rules of the game and the provision of an advanced sports environment in the Emirate of Fujairah.
He added that the support of the wise leadership is one of the most prominent reasons for advancing the development of chess in the emirate, which was reflected at the club level in adopting future technologies in addition to developing qualified personnel in training players, which resulted in the club receiving global praise from the International Chess Federation, in addition to raising the efficiency of the players and obtaining advanced positions with their competitors at the international level.
