Photos| Floods in the US state of Kentucky… and 4 people were killed
Four people were killed as a result of floods resulting from thunderstorms that struck the US state of Kentucky, while the authorities declared a state of emergency with the expectation that more rain will continue.
State Governor Andy Beshear explained that the victims fell in Madison and Jackson counties, three people in the first and one person in the second, as a result of the floods, adding that Rescue teamscarried out multiple operations to evacuate people from vehicles and homes in different areas of the state, in light of the continuing danger Floods.
The National Weather Service had warned of flash floods in parts of Kentucky and Indiana, noting that large amounts of rain had fallen in some areas, exceeding 4 to 10 inches in some areas, with expectations for continued rainfall.
