Emirates / Summer programs and camps to hone talents and enhance the values ​​of belonging and responsibility

Abu Dhabi, 3 July / WAM / The summer school holiday in the UAE turns every year into a season of knowledge and self-discovery, as summer programmes, camps and events open their doors to young people to provide experiences that combine learning and fun, and allow them to invest their free time in activities that enrich their knowledge, develop their skills and enhance their physical, cultural and social capabilities.

These initiatives reflect the state’s vision of building humanity and preparing generations who possess the tools of the future, by expanding learning opportunities outside the classroom, establishing a culture of innovation and creativity, and enhancing national identity and the values ​​of responsibility and teamwork, making summer vacation an effective space for gaining experience and honing talents.

In this context, the current summer season witnesses the launch of a wide series of programs and camps in various emirates of the country targeting multiple age groups and providing diverse content that combines education, sports, culture and technology.

The “Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival 2026”, which will be held in the Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi during the period from July 6 to August 23, comes as a model for developing the concept of summer vacation through an integrated experience targeting children, young people and families, and is based on educational, community, heritage, health and sports axes.

The festival includes workshops in artificial intelligence, programming, digital innovation, and modern technologies, in addition to initiatives to develop communication and content-making skills through the “Little Media” program, programs to raise awareness of digital security, safety, and first aid, heritage and environmental activities, and creative and interactive experiences that include culinary arts and family activities, as well as seasonal events such as the Al Wathba Dates Festival, the Productive Families Festival, and the Back to School Festival.

For its part, the Emirates Council for Balanced Development announced the launch of the “Emirates Summer Villages 2026” program during the period from July 6 to 23, targeting participants from 10 to 17 years old in five regions distributed across the emirates of the country.

The program offers a package of sports, cultural, educational and awareness-raising activities within themes that include future skills, artificial intelligence, heritage, security and safety, in addition to workshops on cybersecurity, health, first aid, financial awareness, innovation and building robots. It also includes programs that enhance national identity, Emirati heritage, volunteerism, reading, community cohesion and environmental awareness.

On the sports side, the Ministry of Education is launching the specialized summer camp for jiu-jitsu and swimming under the slogan “A Distinguished Sports Summer” during the period from July 6 to August 6, with the aim of investing the school vacation in developing students’ physical and personal skills and promoting healthy lifestyles.

The program focuses on specialized training under the supervision of qualified cadres, which contributes to improving physical fitness, consolidating the values ​​of discipline and teamwork, and discovering promising sports talents and qualifying them to take advantage of future opportunities.

In turn, the UAE University Science and Innovation Park launched the “Summer Camp 2026” activities directed at university students, with the aim of promoting the culture of innovation and developing technological skills through training workshops and practical applications in the fields of 3D design, electronics and emerging technologies.

The program allows participants to transform ideas into applied projects and acquire skills in digital design, smart manufacturing, teamwork, and critical thinking, in addition to obtaining certificates of achievement that support their academic and professional careers.

Abu Dhabi continues to strengthen its presence in the summer scene through the fifth edition of the “Abu Dhabi Sports Summer 2026”, which is being held at the ADNEC Center until next August 23, and which includes 29 sports and physical activities distributed over more than 70 stadiums and arenas, in addition to more than 365 community and sports events and programs. It also includes the “Community Area” designated for families, and the “Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Dialogues” program, which provides specialized sessions in health, nutrition, quality of life, and spreading awareness. Community.
