Al-Arish, July 8, 2017 – Operation “Gallant Knight 3” received a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, headed by His Excellency Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Authority, during a visit to the logistical center for UAE humanitarian aid in the city of Al-Arish in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The visit comes within the framework of following up on the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in the Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, to allocate an amount of 36.7 million dirhams to support humanitarian and relief efforts within Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”, which contributes to enhancing the sustainability of the flow of UAE aid to the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.

During their tour of the center, the delegation was briefed on the workflow, the mechanisms for receiving, preparing and classifying aid, the supply system and the logistical procedures followed to ensure the speed and efficiency of its delivery to the Gaza Strip. It also listened to an explanation about the efforts of the work teams and coordination mechanisms with the concerned authorities to facilitate the arrival of aid to those who need it.

The visit stressed the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the concerned Emirati authorities to support the humanitarian response, in a way that enhances the efficiency of delivering aid to our Palestinian brothers, and embodies the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to its established humanitarian approach in extending a helping hand to those in need.

The UAE humanitarian aid logistics center in the city of Al-Arish continues to play its pivotal role within Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” by receiving, preparing and managing aid shipments before they are brought into the Gaza Strip, which enhances the speed of response to humanitarian needs and confirms the UAE’s continued humanitarian and relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers.
