Intercepting and shooting down four missiles coming from Iran

The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army announced that air defense systems intercepted and shot down, at dawn today, four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace coming from Iranian territory, without causing human casualties or material damage.

The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted an official military source in the General Command as saying that the Royal Engineering Corps teams dealt with the shrapnel that fell in a number of sites, in accordance with the approved technical and security procedures, and took the necessary measures to secure the sites and preserve the safety of citizens and property.

He stressed that any attempt to undermine the Kingdom’s sovereignty or violate its airspace will be confronted firmly, within the approved rules of engagement and what is required by the national interest, stressing that the armed forces will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect the homeland and defend its security and stability.
