Experts: "Made in UAE" Artificial intelligence will lead the future of infrastructure over the next decade
Dubai, July 14 / WAM / Executive officials and experts in the construction, engineering and infrastructure sectors confirmed that the “Made in the UAE” initiative, artificial intelligence and modular construction, will lead the transformation of the country’s infrastructure sector during the next decade, supported by growing local manufacturing, flexibility of supply chains, and increasing demand for digital and sustainable solutions.
This came during the “Building Forward, Shaping the Future of Infrastructure and Sustainable Development” forum, which was hosted yesterday by the Indian Business and Professions Council in Dubai in cooperation with the ESBA Group.
The forum witnessed the participation of elite leaders from the construction, real estate, engineering, manufacturing, banking and technology sectors, to discuss the most prominent transformations that are reshaping the future of the sector, most notably digital transformation, sustainability and localization of industry.
Participants stressed that the rise in global shipping costs and geopolitical challenges contributed to accelerating reliance on products manufactured in the Emirates, and strengthening the position of the “Made in the Emirates” initiative, which has gained increasing global recognition as a synonym for quality, which supports the competitiveness of the national industry and provides new opportunities for growth.
For his part, Abdul Rahman Obaid, CEO of Mahi Khoury Group, said that Emirati products have gained the confidence of global markets, stressing that the pace of local manufacturing will accelerate in the sectors of infrastructure, technology, furniture and consumer products.
For his part, Wael Mansour, CEO of Royal Advance Electromechanical Company, a subsidiary of Trojan Construction Group, explained that artificial intelligence has become a major driver for developing supply, design, and project implementation processes, pointing out that smart engineering, building information modeling, digital twins, and modular construction will become basic practices in the sector in the coming years.
The participants stressed that the UAE has strong capabilities to continue its leadership in the infrastructure sector, thanks to its political stability, its continued investments in strategic projects and digital transformation, and the vision of its wise leadership towards achieving sustainable development and strengthening its position as a global center for innovation and industry.
