Producer prices in Saudi Arabia increased by 7.5% during May 2026

Decrease on a monthly basis
On a monthly basis, the index Producer prices in May 2026 decreased by 1.8%, compared to April 2026, and this is due to a decrease in the manufacturing industry prices by 2.0%, supported by a decrease in the prices of the activity of manufacturing refined petroleum products by 6.3%, a decrease in the prices of the activity of manufacturing formed metal products (excluding machinery and equipment) by 3.4%, a decrease in the prices of other economic activities by 1.5%, and a decrease in the prices of the activity of the clothing manufacturing activity by 1.5%. 0.3%.
The prices of the activity of manufacturing chemicals and chemical products increased by 0.5%, and the prices of the activity of manufacturing basic metals increased by 9.5%. The prices of the water supply, sanitation and waste management activities also witnessed an increase of 1.9%, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply section did not record any significant relative change in the month of May 2026, compared to the month of April 2026.
