Abdullah Al Hamed: "Union era day" The compass of our identity towards a bright future
Abu Dhabi, July 17 / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, said that the Era of the Union Day represents a national occasion firmly rooted in the conscience of the people of the Emirates, in which we celebrate the era upon which the will was united, the values that laid the foundations of the union, and the historical moment that laid the foundation for a nation that has become a model of unity, renaissance and prosperity.
On the occasion of the celebration of the Union’s Era Day, His Excellency added: “On this anniversary that is dear to our hearts, we do not content ourselves with recalling the past, but rather we renew our pledge that the Union will remain the pulse of identity, the secret of strength, and the compass that guides the nation’s march toward a bright future.”
He stressed that on this occasion, we recall with pride the great efforts made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and his brothers, the founding fathers, who planted in the land of the Emirates the seeds of unity, and watered them with wisdom and sincerity, until they yielded a state that has become a global symbol of stability, development, and leadership.
He said that July 18 will remain a day in which we remember the greatness of the founding leaders, and in which we renew our full commitment to follow their path, and to always unite behind His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, “may God protect him,” so that we remain loyal to the mission of the Union, committed to continuing the process of construction and renaissance, each in his position and field.
His Excellency the Chairman of the National Media Authority explained that this year’s celebration of “Union Era Day” acquires an exceptional national significance, in light of the national epic that the country witnessed that embodied the highest forms of cohesion between the leadership and the people, both citizens and residents, during the period in which the region witnessed aggressive Iranian attacks. He pointed out that these positions proved that the Union is a solid value system, a deep-rooted national culture, and daily behavior, in which the meanings of loyalty, belonging, and solidarity are evident, and in which the UAE’s strength and unity are multiplied whenever it faces challenges.
His Excellency stressed that the cohesion and collective awareness demonstrated by that stage was the result of an integrated national system, of which the national media was one of its most important pillars, with the role it played in unifying the message, enhancing confidence, and consolidating societal awareness. He pointed out that the national media was and will remain an authentic partner in consolidating the pillars of the union, preserving national identity, enhancing the values of loyalty and belonging, conveying the UAE’s story to the world honestly and responsibly, and consolidating national awareness that preserves and protects the gains. achievements, and enhances confidence in the nation’s progress and leadership.
His Excellency said that this occasion renews in our souls the determination to preserve the gains that have been achieved, and expresses our pride in the distinguished global status that the UAE has achieved. It also reinforces our commitment to following the path of the founding fathers and adhering to the values of unity and loyalty to the homeland, so that the union remains an inspiring story that we tell to generations, a message that is passed down in hearts before words, and a light that illuminates the path to the future with unyielding determination and a will that does not know the impossible.
