المملكة: Hajj and Umrah: 931.5 thousand pilgrims have come with Umrah visas since the start of the season

While the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom reached more than 1.27 million pilgrims, amid an integrated system of services provided to the guests of God, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. And the program for serving the guests of the Most Merciful.

The Ministry confirmed that this reflects the great support that the system of serving the guests of the Most Merciful receives from the wise leadership – may God support it -, and the integration witnessed by the system between government agencies, and the continuous development of digital and operational services, which contributes to improving the experience of pilgrims and visitors and enhancing the quality of services provided to them.

And according to statistics for the period from Dhu al-Hijjah 15 to At the end of Muharram 1448 AH, the Ministry stated that 75% of foreign Umrah pilgrims came to the Kingdom through air ports, while 25% came through land and sea ports.

It indicated that Pakistan came in first place in terms of the number of incoming Umrah pilgrims with 200,000 Umrah pilgrims, followed by Indonesia with 170,000, while the State of Iraq came in third place with 130 thousand Umrah pilgrims.

The Umrah system continues to develop its digital and operational services, enhance ease of access to services, and raise performance efficiency.

This comes in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and enhances the provision of a more convenient and quality Umrah experience, from planning the trip until the pilgrim departs.
