It called Education departments in various regions of the Kingdom, whose employees are Educational functions to take advantage of Professional development The summer educational program launched by the National Institute for Educational Professional Development through the “Nomu” platform under the slogan “Develop your summer.”
It includes a package of specialized programs in employing artificial intelligence in education, educational design, educational leadership, reading comprehension, environmental sustainability, and specialized teaching strategies, with the aim of developing educational practices, raising professional competencies, and keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the education sector.
The institute explained that the activities target all occupants of educational jobs in various regions of the Kingdom, from Male and female teachers, school leaders, and educational supervisors, through non-mandatory professional development programs and qualitative and flexible activities, allowing beneficiaries to choose training paths that are compatible with their professional needs and specializations, which contributes to building sustainable professional development plans.
Artificial Intelligence in Education
The Institute confirmed that the inclusion of artificial intelligence programs in education comes in response to the expansion of the use of modern technologies within the educational environment, and to enhance the capabilities of teachers to benefit from artificial intelligence tools in planning lessons and designing activities. Educational, producing digital content, analyzing educational data, and supporting evaluation processes, which is reflected in improving the learning experience and raising the efficiency of performance within the classroom.
Activities also include specialized programs in educational design; To enable teachers to build more effective learning experiences and prepare educational content according to modern scientific foundations, in addition to programs in educational leadership aimed at developing the skills of school leaders in managing change, leading work teams, improving institutional performance, and creating educational environments that stimulate creativity and excellence.
The programs also include tracks in reading comprehension; To enhance students’ reading and comprehension skills, and raise the efficiency of teachers in applying modern strategies to develop reading skills, in addition to programs in environmental sustainability that contribute to spreading environmental awareness, promoting sustainable practices within schools, and linking them to modern educational concepts.
Developing professional performance
Activities also focus on specialized teaching strategies that support the development of teachers’ professional performance, and help them employ modern teaching methods that take into account individual differences, support active learning, continuous evaluation, and build more quality and effective learning environments, in addition to programs that enhance values. And national identity, and develops the personal and professional skills of those holding educational positions.
The institute indicated that this initiative comes within its efforts to expand access to professional development, establish a culture of continuous learning, and enable male and female teachers and educational leaders to keep pace with educational and technical developments, and develop their professional practices in a way that contributes to improving learning outcomes, improving the quality of education, and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
