Dubai Police completes 88 construction projects in five years
DUBAI, July 20, 2017 (WAM) – The Dubai Police General Command announced the implementation of 88 construction projects over the past five years, as part of its plan to develop the police infrastructure and enhance the logistical support system, at a time when the General Department of Logistical Support maintained a 99 percent rate in the planning efficiency index for resource and property management during the years 2024 and 2025, which reflects the efficiency of asset management and the sustainability of police readiness.
This came during a briefing by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, on the results of the performance of the General Administration of Logistical Support, as part of the annual inspection program for public administrations and police stations, in the presence of a number of senior officers.
His Excellency stressed that developing the logistical support system and expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies in various operations represent an essential pillar for enhancing institutional readiness and sustaining excellence, in line with the vision of the wise leadership and the directions of the Dubai government towards leadership in government work.
The administration reviewed its most prominent development projects, as it has completed 65 projects out of 88 construction projects, while work is underway to complete 23 projects, in addition to implementing a project to rehabilitate force buildings, which will contribute to raising the efficiency of police facilities and provide sustainable facilities with high energy efficiency, which enhance the quality of the work environment and support the requirements of the future.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Al Marri was briefed on future plans that aim to develop the management of facilities, assets and services through smart solutions, in a way that raises the quality of services and enhances spending efficiency and resource sustainability.
The department recorded advanced results in performance indicators, as the supplier satisfaction rate reached 93.8 percent, job satisfaction reached 99.3 percent, and beneficiaries’ satisfaction with catering services reached 99.9 percent, while the satisfaction rate of Dubai Police employees with the benefits of the “Esaad” card reached 91.5 percent, and the officers’ club members’ satisfaction with the services reached 97.7 percent.
In the field of institutional excellence, the department won three local and international awards, including the British Green Apple Award for the “Zero Carbon Police Force” project, in addition to two awards within the Dubai Energy Demand Management Program for Excellence. It also obtained the local gold rating “A” in food safety from Dubai Municipality, in addition to preparing and approving nine intellectual works that supported documenting institutional knowledge and enhancing the sustainability of operational practices.
At the conclusion of the tour, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri praised the advanced results and indicators achieved by the General Department of Logistical Support, stressing the importance of continuing to develop the logistical support system and accelerating the use of artificial intelligence techniques, in order to enhance performance efficiency and establish Dubai Police’s leadership among the best police agencies in the world.
