World Health: More than 2,400 cases of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Declared The World Health Organization recorded 2,423 confirmed cases and 967 deaths as a result of the outbreak Ebola virus Bundibugyo strain in Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the disease continuing to spread in five provinces.

The organization confirmed that it has strengthened response measures by deploying rapid intervention teams, expanding health care and safe burial services, noting that the situation has stabilized in some areas, with continuing efforts to contain the outbreak.
