Umm Al Quwain Municipality organizes the “Your Safety in Summer” initiative
Umm Al Quwain, July 22nd / WAM / The Umm Al Quwain Municipality organized the “Your Safety in Summer” initiative in cooperation with its strategic partners, represented by the representative office of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and the Umm Al Quwain Public Health Center, with the aim of enhancing awareness among workers on construction sites of the importance of following preventive measures to preserve their health and safety during the summer season.
The initiative included implementing awareness programs and medical guidance that addressed the symptoms of heat exhaustion and ways to prevent it, and the importance of maintaining constant hydration while working, in addition to introducing sound health practices that contribute to reducing the risks associated with direct exposure to sunlight and high temperatures, especially during the noon work ban period.
The initiative comes within the framework of Umm Al Quwain Municipality’s efforts to provide a safe and healthy work environment by spreading a preventive culture among workers in the construction sector, and enhancing compliance with the rules and regulations governing work during the summer months, which contributes to maintaining worker safety and reducing injuries related to heat stress.
Umm Al Quwain Municipality confirmed that the initiative embodies its continued commitment to protecting the health and safety of workers, and enhancing cooperation with partner agencies to establish a safe and sustainable work environment, calling on construction sector companies and institutions to adhere to the approved preventive measures and requirements, in order to preserve the safety and health of workers.
