Research collaboration between "Trends Barometer" and"Sorbonne Abu Dhabi"

ABU DHABI, July 23 / WAM / Trends Barometer and Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi signed a joint cooperation agreement, within the framework of strengthening partnerships and developing cooperation in the fields of research, analysis and knowledge forecasting, in the presence of an elite group of academics and researchers from both sides.
Following the signing ceremony, a dialogue session was held during which “Trends Barometer” and an academic delegation from the university reviewed opportunities for future cooperation, with a focus on employing data and artificial intelligence to monitor and analyze indicators and anticipate their trends, in a way that enhances understanding of global transformations and supports the knowledge industry.
Fahd Al-Mahri, principal researcher and general director of Trends Barometer, stressed that cooperation with Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi represents an important step towards developing more advanced analysis tools based on artificial intelligence and big data, which contributes to enhancing the accuracy of forecasting and supporting joint scientific research.
For her part, Dr. Cleo Chavigno, Associate Professor of Sociology and Head of the SAFIR Institute at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, explained that this cooperation opens broad horizons for applied scientific research, especially in the areas of analyzing social data and understanding contemporary global transformations, pointing to the importance of integration between academic institutions and think tanks in producing solid knowledge that contributes to shaping the features of the future.
For his part, Dr. Renu Debye, Professor of Philosophy and Sociology at the University, pointed out that integrating philosophical and social approaches with artificial intelligence tools allows a deeper reading of complex phenomena, and contributes to producing more comprehensive and accurate knowledge, stressing that such partnerships are a pioneering model of cooperation between the humanities and modern technologies.
The session stressed the importance of building sustainable knowledge bridges based on modern technologies to enhance academic and research cooperation between the two sides, in a way that consolidates and enhances scientific research and knowledge innovation at the regional and international levels.
