The International Maritime Organization condemns attacks on shipping in the Red Sea
The Secretary-General condemned (IMO) Arsenio Dominguez, conclusively the latest attacks targeting International in the , stressing that they are unjustified, endanger the lives of sailors, and threaten the security of international navigation, the maritime environment, and the stability of global supply chains.
He explained in a statement that the Red Sea is a vital sea lane for international trade, warning that continued attacks on ships in the region may lead to escalation of tensions, disruption of trade, and undermining the principle of freedom of navigation.
