المملكة: Saudi Arabia establishes a new camp to house the displaced in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center established a new camp yesterday to shelter the displaced, especially those with visual disabilities and their families, in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. With the aim of providing safe and stable shelter for those whose homes were destroyed during the humanitarian crisis, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The field teams of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage – the implementing partner of the King Salman Relief Center in the Gaza Strip – carried out the work of preparing the camp and establishing its shelter units, taking into account the needs of the beneficiaries and providing them with a more suitable and stable environment. (14) tents and a number of food baskets were distributed to the most needy groups, benefiting (84) individuals, through the project to receive in-kind aid provided by the King Salman Relief Centre.
The establishment of the camp comes in response to the exceptional conditions that blind people live in in displacement centers, as they face double challenges in mobility and access to basic services, which makes providing an appropriate shelter environment a humanitarian necessity that contributes to preserving their dignity and alleviating their suffering.
