المملكة: With the participation of 278 students…the conclusion of the “Mawhiba” program at King Abdulaziz University
The program witnessed the participation of 278 male and female students in five tracks, including: cybersecurity, electrical engineering, renewable energy, anatomy and organs, architecture and creative design.
The program also includes a set of activities designed to develop students’ personal skills and prepare them for effective and distinguished participation in various initiatives provided by “Mawhiba” locally and internationally.
Preparing qualified national cadres
The program adopts comprehensive educational objectives, namely deepening knowledge, enhancing competence and readiness, and building theoretical and applied expertise, based on leading international methodologies in educating the gifted.
These programs come as part of the Foundation’s contribution to preparing qualified national cadres capable of meeting development requirements and engaging competently in the local and global labor market with high skills and distinct competitive capabilities.
The “Mawhiba” 2026 program achieved a set of goals, namely expanding students’ mental and cognitive awareness, opening horizons to build them, identifying and discovering the scientific field to set their future goals, as well as developing personal and social skills, and providing students with twenty-first century skills.
It also provides a scientific and enriching environment that enables students to mingle with their talented peers of the same age group, in addition to practicing scientific activities under the supervision of specialists to highlight their creative abilities, in addition to investing students’ time during the summer vacation.

Programs dedicated to talented people
Regarding the programs designated for gifted students, the university hosted 168 gifted female students within seven specialized scientific units: the Electrical Engineering Unit, the Engineering Drawing Unit, the Chemical Applications Unit, the Biotechnology Unit, the Anatomy and Physiology Unit, the Cybersecurity Unit, and the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Unit.
The program included the provision of specialized scientific knowledge, and was not limited to that, but rather extended to include a system of enrichment and skill activities concerned with developing the student’s personality, enhancing her social and leadership skills, and consolidating the values of cooperation and communication, in a way that contributes to her balanced academic and personal preparation.
