A new escalation between Russia and Ukraine leaves dead and wounded on both sides

While Kiev announced the death of one person and the injury of others as a result of a Russian attack on the city of Kharkiv, in the latest escalation of the ongoing war between the two sides.

The pro-Moscow authorities said that a Ukrainian drone strike resulted in the death of four people in the city of Gorlivka, located in eastern Ukraine.
Another person was also killed in the Russian-controlled part of the Kherson region, in addition to A person was killed in the village of Smorodino in the Russian Belgorod Province following a drone attack.
These attacks come a day after Moscow announced the killing of 12 people in a Ukrainian strike that targeted a town located on the Sea of Azov, while on Saturday, 20 people were killed on both sides of the conflict.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that one person was killed and one person was injured. Nine others, including two children, following a Russian drone attack that targeted a residential building in the city of Kharkiv, also indicating that three people were injured as a result of a ballistic missile attack on the capital, Kiev.
This escalation comes at a time when the US-led talks to end the war are still faltering.
While Russia continues to control large areas of eastern and southern Ukraine, confirming its commitment to complete control over what remains of the east of the country.
