The UAE Professional League announces the list of nominees for the 2025-2026 season awards
ABU DHABI, 27 JULY / WAM / Today, the UAE Professional League announced the list of nominees for the awards for the 2025-2026 sports season, in conjunction with the opening of voting, which will last for 5 days until the first of next August, with the participation of leaders and coaches of the ADNOC Professional League teams, media professionals, and fans, through the association’s official website and its smart applications.
The winners are scheduled to be announced during the annual Season Awards ceremony, which will be held next August 10 at the Emirates Palace Hotel, Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.
The awards are divided into 3 categories, the first of which is the “Voting Awards”, which includes the Golden Ball Award for the best player, and is competed for by Matías Palacios, Kodjo Lapa, Rami Rabia, Alejandro Romero, Sufyan Rahimi (Al Ain), Nicolas Jiménez (Al Wasl), Youri Cesar, Guilherme Bala (Shabab Al Ahly), Omar Kharbin (Al Wahda), and Tariq Tisodale (Khor Fakkan).
Competing for the Golden Glove Award for best goalkeeper are Khaled Issa (Al Ain), Hamad Al Muqbali (Shabab Al Ahly), Ali Al Hosani (Ajman), Ali Khaseef (Al Jazeera), and Zayed Ahmed (Al Wahda).
As for the Leader’s Award for Best Coach, it is competed for by Vladimir Ivic (Al Ain), Goran Tovedjic (Ajman), Rui Vitoria (Al Wasl), Marino Bosic (Al Jazira), and Paulo Sousa (Shabab Al Ahly).
The list of candidates for the Golden Boy Award for the most promising player under 23 years included Abdelkarim Traoré, Houcine Rahimi (Al Ain), Vinicius Melo, Mamadou Koulibaly (Al Jazeera), Renan Victor, Mohamed Al Mansouri, Kun Santos (Shabab Al Ahly), and Abdullah Toure (Al Nassr).
The People’s Choice Best Player Award also includes 23 players, in addition to the People’s Choice Best Goal Award.
The second category includes “Statistics Awards”, and includes the Golden Shoe Award for top scorer in the ADNOC Professional League, which was won by Al Ain striker Kodjo Lapa, the Golden Shoe Award for top scorer in the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, won by Abdullah Toure, Al Nasr player, and the Silver Shoe Award for top scorer in the U-23 Professional League, which was won by Ali Al Mamari, in addition to the Dream Team Award, which includes the best 11 players of the season.
As for the third category, it is “Awards according to standards,” and includes awards for crowd attendance, club licenses, and professionalism.
