President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Friday, with Robert Maersk Aujla, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, on the sidelines of the president’s state visit to Denmark.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the president of the Danish company was keen – at the beginning of the interview – to thank the president for the support provided by the Egyptian government to the company’s work in Egypt, praising the efforts. Which Egypt is undertaking to attract foreign investments in various sectors, and to overcome any obstacles facing companies operating in Egypt, stressing the company’s keenness to strengthen its cooperation and consider increasing the volume of its business in Egypt.

 

For his part, President Sisi appreciated the existing cooperation with Maersk, stressing Egypt’s appreciation for the company’s efforts to develop some Egyptian container terminals with the aim of transforming them into global container handling terminals in the eastern and southern Mediterranean region, praising Also, the company’s projects to produce and supply its ships with green fuel. In a way that contributes to making Egypt a regional center for the company’s operations, whether with regard to container trade or clean fuel production.

 

The presidential spokesman added that the meeting discussed ways to develop cooperation between the two sides, and opportunities to enhance The company’s investments in Egypt; In a way that achieves mutual interest.
