"Sharjah Sports" Celebrates "Paralympic day"

Sharjah, 6 December / WAM / The Sharjah Sports Council celebrated “Paralympic Day” at the Khor Fakkan Club for the Disabled, for the third year in a row, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the “53rd Federation Day” celebrations.

The ceremony, which was held at the initiative of Mohamed Al-Qayed, Specialist for Disabled Sports in the Council’s Sports Affairs and Development Department, included various events and competitions in wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball, badminton, boccia, and table tennis, in addition to a fitness challenge and a number of activities. Cultural.

The celebration witnessed a large participation of male and female players from the clubs: Al-Thiqa, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, and Khor Fakkan Club, where the number of participants reached 135 individuals, and the event also included a group of wonderful cultural activities.
