المملكة: The Serbian ambassador praises the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve heritage

Today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom, Dragan Bizenic, visited the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2024. Organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham (north of Riyadh).
The Serbian ambassador and his accompanying delegation followed the course of the qualifying rounds for the King Abdulaziz Cup, learned about the modern techniques used by the club in measuring the speed of the falcon while covering a distance of 400 metres, and learned about ways to archive information about falcons participating in the festivals.

Preserving heritage

The ambassador toured the pavilions accompanying the festival, listening to an explanation explaining the protocols that the falconer follows in feeding the falcon, the methods of falconry hunting, and the molting seasons. He also learned about the (Hadad) program, one of the initiatives launched by the Saudi Falcons Club to preserve the environment and return falcons to their natural habitats.

The Serbian ambassador thanked the Saudi Falcons Club for the hospitality he received during his visit to the festival, praising the efforts made by the club in preserving the falconry heritage, transmitting it to future generations, and strengthening Saudi identity. Of which the Falcon is a part.

It is noteworthy that the King Abdulaziz Falcon Festival 2024 will hold its activities from December 3 to 19, and will offer prizes worth more than 36 million riyals, which is considered the largest prize value in the history of the competition, distributed among the winners of the Al-Malwah and Al-Mazayen competitions.
