Minister of Finance: The private sector is very large

Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, said that the private sector is responsible for the development sector in Egypt in many fields, stressing the strengthening of its role as it occupies a high priority in the current economic policies. 

The Minister of Finance added during the symposium that Held at the National Press Authority, the private sector is very large and there are promising generations leading development work, stressing the launch of new facilitation packages, including initiatives to support small and medium-sized companies, developing the tax system to encourage local and foreign investment and improving the support provided to them. And promoting exports outside Egypt.

 

Finance Minister Ahmed Kajouk congratulated the members and head of the National Press Authority on the new formation, stressing his hope for further cooperation with the authority.

 

The Minister of Finance said at the beginning of the symposium organized by the National Press Authority, " I am proud to be the son of the Ministry of Finance before any international associations, and I was honored to work with senior professors from whom I learned a lot.

 

The Minister stressed that setting priorities and clarity of vision is important in government work, which witnesses harmony. Intellectually intense among its members, he pointed out that there are three very clear priorities in the ministry’s work, the first of which is restoring the true partnership between the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Authority, especially with the business community in general, because it is our partner and its growth is in our interest, therefore We launched a tax facilitation package.

 

He added: The second priority is to restore the mental image of financial policy in Egypt, so that it is more comprehensive than linking it only to financial discipline, especially since limiting it to that only represents An incorrect reduction of the ability of fiscal policy, to measure its ability to support economic activity as well.

 

The Minister of Finance indicated that the third priority is to ensure that local and foreign government debt is under control and that he is proceeding with Reducing path.
