A quorum is reached to attend the General Assembly of the Football Association, with the presence of 111 clubs
The Football Association opened at nine o’clock this morning, Tuesday, registration for clubs to attend the General Assembly meeting at the headquarters of the National Teams Center “Goal Project” In 6th of October City.
The bylaws stipulate that 50 + 1 of the number of members of the General Assembly must be present, representing 68 clubs out of 134 clubs, in order for a quorum to be complete. That 25% vote yes to choose the list and win by acclamation. If the quorum is not complete or Engineer Hani Abu Rida’s list is rejected, the Executive Director of the Football Association will assume the duties of the Jabaliyah. The procedures must be repeated again and the door to candidacy for the elections will be opened again.
Today, the General Assembly witnesses the election of a new board to manage Egyptian football, and the list of engineer Hani Abu Raida, a member of the executive office of the International and African Federations, submitted its nomination papers for the elections. The Football Association, while no other list submitted before the nomination period closed.
The list includes: Hani Abu Raida as president, Khaled Al-Dirandali as deputy, and among the membership are Ahmed Helmy Al-Sharif, Hamada Al-Sherbiny, Mustafa Abu Zahra, Tariq Muhammad Abu Al-Enein, Walid Abdel-Jawad, Muhammad Abu Hussein, and the journalist Enas Mazhar, and 3 additional members were prepared and placed on the list. Reserve in case you are excluded Any of these names are Dr. Ashraf Moussa, James Hanna, and Hiyam Baraka.
