5 records waiting to be broken in the new season of the Professional League

The 14 professional league clubs are preparing to launch their journey in the new season, which begins next August 14, amid public anticipation for the start of the competitions and the achievements and historical records that it may bring, most notably five records that are still standing, waiting for someone to succeed in breaking them.

Al Ain and Al Jazira clubs have the most prominent numbers, as Al Ain tops the list of teams with the most goals scored in one season with 74 goals, scored during the 2012-2013 season, while Al Jazira holds the record for the largest number of victories in one season, after achieving 22 wins on its way to being crowned champion in the 2016-2017 season.

Although Al Ain won the title last season with an undefeated record, after achieving 21 victories compared to five draws, it was satisfied with equaling the record for the highest number of points for the crowned champion (68 points), and did not succeed in breaking Al Jazira’s record for the most victories in one season, and “Emirates Today” monitors five records that fans of the ADNOC Professional League are waiting for to be broken during the 2026-2027 season.
