The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, represented by the Ministry’s office in Jeddah, seized (6) sites violating the water system in the Abu Jaalah Center in Jeddah Governorate, which included violating the conditions and licensing requirements for non-potable well water pipes and tanks, and practicing the profession of drilling wells, and legal measures were taken regarding them. According to the system.
The Director General of the Ministry of Environment branch in the Mecca region, Engineer Majid Al-Khalif, confirmed that the violators were warned and given an opportunity to correct their situation via the “Nama” platform, saying: “If the grace period expires, the applicable fines stipulated in the Ministry’s water provisions system will be applied against the violators.”

Regular procedures

Al-Khalif called on the owners of tanks and tanks and those practicing the profession of drilling wells, the need to obtain the necessary licenses to continue practicing the activity, whether from the Ministry, especially activities of extracting and distributing non-potable water, or from the water regulator for activities of extracting and distributing potable water, and to quickly obtain the necessary permits for these activities. In accordance with the provisions of the water system, and according to the conditions, controls, and procedural process regulating each activity.

He also called on all beneficiaries to follow regulatory procedures, to ensure the sustainability of water and preserve its sources, stressing that inspection and control teams carry out inspection and monitoring campaigns on a regular and continuous basis to monitor violations of the water system and impose penalties in all governorates of the Mecca region.
