The UAE and Indonesia hold the second session of the Joint Consular Committee

JAKARTA, 13 December, 2017 (WAM) – The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Indonesia held the second session of their joint consular committee in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, to advance and consolidate cooperation in all joint consular fields of care and service for the citizens of the two countries.
On the UAE side, the meeting was chaired by His Excellency Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the Indonesian side, His Excellency Andy Rachmianto, Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Indonesian Foreign Ministry.

His Excellency Khaled Belhoul conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his praise of the positive developments between the two countries. He stressed the UAE’s keenness and interest in strengthening and developing relations between the two countries, in a way that reflects the ambitions and directions of the wise leadership.
During the meeting, His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul praised the historical relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Indonesia, and the distinguished and strong strategic relations built on the spirit of mutual understanding and respect.

He expressed the UAE’s appreciation for the efforts made by the Indonesian side to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, which have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years in all fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of common consular issues between the two countries, and plans to follow up and develop them, in addition to discussing ways to enhance joint consular cooperation.
Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Human Resources and Emiratisation in the UAE participated in the meeting, along with representatives from the competent authorities in the Republic of Indonesia.
