The Journalists Syndicate launches its sixth general conference under the slogan: "Palestine session…a path to change"

The activities of the Sixth General Conference of the Egyptian Press, which is held under the slogan “Palestine Session… A Path to Change,” have just begun.
The opening is attended by a large number of guests. Egyptians and Arabs, in addition to a delegation from the International Federation of Journalists, Egyptian press and media bodies, the Union of Arab Journalists, representatives of Arab press unions, editors-in-chief and journalist writers. And thinkers.
The major media event is presented by Gamal Al-Shaer, and includes a number of segments, including speeches by Khaled Al-Balshi, head of the Journalists Syndicate, and Dr. Wahid Abdel Majeed, Secretary-General of the Conference, Anthony Bellangi, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Journalists, Nasser Abu Bakr, Head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, and a speech by our Palestinian colleague Rula Al-Durra, who was injured during the aggression on Gaza and lost most of her family as martyr or wounded.
The ceremony is also attended by a large number of wounded Palestinian journalists and representatives of the Palestinian press, and includes paragraphs glorifying the heroism of fellow Palestinian journalists. And a list of honor for the martyrs of the Palestinian press who rose while performing their work in light of the genocidal war that the Palestinians have been subjected to for more than a year.
The ceremony also includes messages from former captains and film materials about the history of Previous conferences, the history of Egyptian female journalists and their journalistic, national and trade union struggle.
The ceremony concludes with an artistic performance by the Palestinian Sunflower Choir, which performs a bouquet of songs Resistance and Palestinian Heritage.
The conference sessions begin on Sunday morning with a group of sessions and round tables in which a large number of senior journalists, trade unionists, specialists in the economics of journalism, and training and digital journalism experts will speak, under the titles Main topics related to the conditions of the Egyptian press, its legislation, press freedoms, journalists’ wages, and the challenges they face professionally and financially. And on the field.
The conference sessions continue on Monday, and end on the evening of the same day with a final session to present recommendations.
He called Gamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary General of the Syndicate, gathered a crowd of Egyptian journalists to attend the opening ceremony of the conference and participate extensively in its sessions, discussing, exchanging ideas and proposing solutions to reach recommendations that express the state of journalism. The preparatory sessions for the conference began last April under three main axes at the invitation of the head of the Journalists Syndicate, Khaled Al-Balshi. A large number of members of the General Assembly and journalism professionals participated in it, before the General Secretariat of the Conference completed the sessions and developed the final program for the conference.
Many working papers were presented during the working sessions and preparation for the conference. Prepared by journalists, specialists, academics, and trade unionists, and published on the official website of the conference for viewing, benefiting from, and discussing during the activities of the conference, which is held under the auspices of the Prime Minister.
