Dr. Ahmed explained Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Health Care Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, said that the Authority is one of the first Egyptian government agencies to issue a comprehensive report reviewing its approach and strategy towards achieving sustainability, noting that the report includes frameworks for the three sustainability axes, which are environmental and social. The Chairman of the Authority noted Healthcare, to the awards and honors obtained by the Authority internationally, which were highlighted in the report, the most prominent of which was the Gold Award in Social and Environmental Responsibility from the International Hospital Federation for the year 2024, the Gold Award in the Safety Standards category from the Arab Hospital Federation, and the Authority’s registration as the first Egyptian government member in The Green Hospital Network (GGHH), in addition to international recognition for Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and Al-Ramd Hospital in Port Said as green hospitals, while the honors also included the Gold Award for the Climate Challenge in Healthcare for the year 2023, and winning the challenges of the Green Hospital and Climate Leadership categories, which reflects the authority’s leadership in healthcare sustainability.
