A parliamentarian submits a request to the Minister of Housing to solve the problem of water outages in the Nasser Center in Beni Suef
Representative Siham Bishai, a member of the House of Representatives in Beni Suef Governorate, submitted a request to the Minister of Housing and Utilities to operate and expand the Ashmant drinking water station in Nasser Center, “Kafr Al-Jazeera Station,” in order to solve the problem of water interruptions and weakness and the large number of residents’ complaints, frequent interruptions and weakness, and the continuation of this problem since A long period in a large number of areas in the center and villages constituency.
The representative, Siham Bishai, demanded Member of the House of Representatives, by approving the operation and expansion of the Ashment Water Station, after addressing the head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, Engineer Dina Bakish, in this regard, and the delay in the full operation of the station, which supplies the Nasser and Al-Wasta centers, and citizens’ dissatisfaction with the extreme weakness of drinking water and the necessity of developing a radical solution to this problem.
Representative Siham Bishai explained that the company’s president confirmed that expansion work on the Ashment drinking water station is underway. Capacity of 52 thousand cubic liters, funded and implemented by the National Authority for Drinking Water within the projects of the Presidential Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Rural Development “A Decent Life” The first phase is expected to be completed in December 2024, and the company has carried out rehabilitation work and raised the efficiency of the first phase of this station.
