The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has redrawn the future of data and artificial intelligence supported by the Arabic language, by adopting many advanced solutions, innovations and initiatives that enhance the uses of the Arabic language in the field of data and artificial intelligence.
These efforts extended to adapting the latest technologies, software applications and algorithms that contribute to enhancing the uses of the Arabic language in technical fields and facilitating access to it.
In addition to supporting its capabilities for various groups and sectors, these efforts come from the pioneering role of “Sdaya” in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and ensuring the Kingdom’s advancement to global leadership within the economies based on data and artificial intelligence.

Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence

Sdaya’s initiatives in supporting the Arabic language came through the launch of the Artificial Intelligence Excellence Center for Arabic Language Technologies, which aims to develop artificial intelligence technologies in the Arabic language with global standards through research and development.

It aims to empower the technical system by uniting the efforts of the academic community and the efforts of the public and private sectors in supporting the Arabic language.
In addition to localizing technology by enriching the data necessary to develop technologies and raising the level of local competencies.

Radar data and artificial intelligence

In keeping with the rapid growth of the technical movement and its rapid pace of development, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) took the initiative to create the interactive data and artificial intelligence radar, which comes as an investment in the new opportunities and horizons that the field provides to support innovation and creativity in data processing and investment.
The radar also aims to follow up on the latest data and artificial intelligence technologies, and review them systematically and reliably, clarifying their level of maturity and aspects of their use, including uses that support and enhance the Arabic language. In its current version, it includes 71 technologies, from which more than 200 use cases emerge.

Dictionary of data and artificial intelligence

In continuation of Sdaya’s efforts to enrich Arabic content and support the uses of the Arabic language in the fields of programming and artificial intelligence, it prepared, in cooperation with the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, a “Dictionary of Data and Artificial Intelligence,” which collects the most important technical terms related to data and artificial intelligence.
The dictionary was prepared in a precise, scientific manner in cooperation with the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, and includes more than 1,200 technical terms in the field of data and artificial intelligence, with brief and easy definitions in Arabic and English, to enrich the technical content in Arabic, unify concepts and facilitate access to information for those interested in the field.

Evaluating and measuring Arab models

As an extension of the ongoing cooperation between the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, the index for evaluating and measuring Arab models in the field of data and artificial intelligence, “Balsam”, was launched as part of the work of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence in its third edition held in the capital, Riyadh, in September 2024. In Riyadh.
The launch of the new index comes within the efforts of Sdaya and its strategic partners to develop models of the Arabic language, which is a rapidly growing and developing field.

Innovative solutions that support the Arabic language

Sdaya continued to provide innovative solutions that support the Arabic language by launching the “Your Voice” system, which relies on artificial intelligence techniques to convert speech into texts in Arabic and classical.
In addition to its support for local dialects, which contributes to enriching Arabic content by automating the recording of meetings and developing smart conversation tools, through interactive audio systems that facilitate communication in Arabic and enhance the experience of its users.
It reflects the role of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority in continuous support of innovation.
