The Water and Sanitation Company in the Canal Governorates decided, today, Friday, to raise the level of preparedness in the three governorates, “Suez, Ismailia, and Port Said,” in response to the wave of weather fluctuations and possible rains, and any sudden climate changes, and to take all precautionary measures, according to the data. issued by the General Meteorological Authority.
The company’s media center stated, in a statement, that the state of maximum preparedness has been lifted in all Sectors and regions at the level of the canal governorates and taking all necessary measures and maximum preparations to confront the climatic conditions that the canal governorates are going through, while developing an urgent plan for the deployment of the company’s vehicles and equipment to avoid any crises or expected problems related to the sewage facility at the level of the canal governorates.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in the Canal Governorates, Abdul Hamid Esmat, confirmed the continuation of disinfecting sewage networks and rain filters, and ensuring the readiness of the stations. And cranes, reviewing safety and security procedures to prevent any problems, and reviewing the readiness of all equipment and electrical generators during rainfall, until the weather improves, while identifying the points most affected by water accumulations and determining the points of concentration of equipment and work teams, and coordinating between them and the central and subsidiary operating rooms, and all Concerned authorities.
He added that the maintenance of Kubota pumps to push them to hot areas, and water suction vehicles, was reviewed. Fountains, rapid intervention vehicles, and compact cars to suck water from areas and places that may witness accumulations of rainwater in coordination with emergency teams connected to the main operations room in the canal governorates, and immediate intervention in water drainage in the event of rain or torrential rain.
He pointed out that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in the Canal Governorates began preparing to face the winter season several months ago, by raising the efficiency of its equipment to deal with rain and floods in the event of Their occurrence, disinfection of rain gutters and drains, disinfection of networks and complexes, and the pits of lifting stations to increase their capacity, and the spread of equipment in the places designated for them.
