The Foundation indicated – in a statement today on the occasion of International Human Solidarity Day – the importance of adopting an integrated approach based on raising awareness among members of society and encouraging humanitarian and charitable initiatives to support The groups most cared for and the victims of wars and conflicts, noting the importance of bringing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to alleviate the suffering they have been experiencing since the Israeli aggression on Sector.
Heba Rashed – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mersal Foundation – said that the Foundation opens its doors to all patients, regardless of the degree of severity of their condition or needs. Rashed explained that the medical services provided have increased over the years. Finally, we now provide 20 medical services, in addition to future projects, noting that the number of the organization’s branches has currently reached 5 branches in the governorates, and the number of registered cases has reached 187 thousand. And 214 cases are among the first categories of care, referring to the services provided by the institution, such as monthly treatment services, medical examinations, examinations and surgical operations, payment of patients’ debts and medical supplies, and sponsorships for patients’ families, as well as the social services that it provides periodically and during the holy month of Ramadan. < /p>
The Foundation stated that it provides support to the Palestinian brothers residing in Egypt as part of its humanitarian role to alleviate the suffering they are experiencing after the Israeli aggression. On the Gaza Strip, noting that the number of Palestinian cases that were assisted socially and medically during the last period was more than 2,500 Palestinian citizens and families.
She explained that in coordination with the National Labor Alliance The National Development Foundation has succeeded in sending more than 150 aid trucks to the Strip since the Israeli aggression on Gaza last October, indicating that with the increase in the frequency of Conflict in the region The number of refugees arriving in Egypt increased, so the Foundation was keen to sign a partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Egypt with the aim of providing comprehensive health care services for refugees in Egypt, with full financial support from the Commission.
She pointed out that this project – whose funding sources come entirely through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – aims to improve refugees’ access to various basic medical services, stressing the importance of strengthening the spirit of solidarity so that all institutions can continue Its humanitarian role.
