Hamdan bin Mohammed approves the formation of a board of directors "Young Arab leaders"

DUBAI, 22nd December / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, today approved the formation of the Board of Directors of the “Young Arab Leaders”, whose membership includes 11 leading and influential Arab figures in various fields.

His Highness said: These Arab leaders will oversee the expansion of the scope of the initiative during the next phase, lead the development of its projects, increase the number of members and associates in this network, attract the best promising Arab skills and talents, and support them to contribute more to designing the future of our Arab societies.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that the “Young Arab Leaders” initiative, which was launched 20 years ago, embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness’s belief in the importance of the active role of youth. Arab League in the future of the region, and preparing capable young leaders who contribute to continuing the process of development and Arab civilization.

His Highness said: We want this initiative to be an incubator to realize the aspirations and dreams of Arab youth that our region will return to its golden age in various fields of science, culture, technology and intellectual creativity, and we will provide support to these young Arab leaders to continue to advance the reality of Arab societies so that their future is better and brighter.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added: Mohammed bin Rashid believes that our Arab region possesses enormous energy represented by 200 million young men and women who constitute 200 million opportunities to design and create a prosperous future for it, and they are its most important resource that needs to build capabilities, develop skills, and provide opportunities to activate The latent potential of young people by providing a comprehensive platform to empower youth, which constitutes the main pillar in shaping the Arab future, its axis and the engine of its positive transformations towards growth, progress, stability and prosperity.

His Highness said: We look forward to achieving qualitative achievements from this initiative through various initiatives that focus on developing the skills of young people and providing them with opportunities to highlight their abilities for success and creativity in various specializations.
The “Young Arab Leaders” initiative is considered the largest specialized network that aims to support promising Arab youth and consolidate the culture of entrepreneurship, belief in the future, and the continuous pursuit of acquiring science and knowledge in a way that contributes to supporting the comprehensive development process in the Arab region.

The Young Arab Leaders Board of Directors, headed by His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, includes Sheikh Abdullah Al Khalifa from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Tamam Manko from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Fahd Al-Ghanim from the State of Kuwait, Aissata Lam from Mauritania, and Ibrahim Al-Muhtaseb from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mona Ataya from Palestine, Basil Al-Baz from Egypt, Yazan Al-Tamimi from Iraq, and Nasser Al Khater from Qatar, and Sami Daoud from the Sultanate of Oman, while Fatima Rashid Bujasim was approved as Secretary-General of Young Arab Leaders.

This initiative aims to attract 50,000 participants during the coming period, and to develop and implement many future projects and inspiring ideas with Arab youth. This will be achieved by forming an influential network of exceptional businessmen and leaders in their fields to support, assist and guide Arab youth, and benefiting from the capabilities and expertise of members in the regional “Young Arab Leaders” network to motivate and empower tomorrow’s young Arab leaders.
