The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of medical services to 17 million 592 thousand and 908 citizens through medical facilities in Beheira Governorate, through 20 hospitals, from the beginning of January until the end of February 2024. This is in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to achieve sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
He pointed out Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, welcomed 4 million 194 thousand and 32 citizens through outpatient clinics, and received 507 thousand 683 citizens in evening clinics, in various specialties, and diagnostic services (remotely) were provided to 14 thousand and 981. citizens, in addition to issuing 12,310 alimony decisions
Abdul Ghaffar noted that, within the framework of developing and raising the efficiency of medical facilities in the governorate, 39 care beds were added and created and distributed to the hospitals most in need, in addition to developing and raising the efficiency of ( Department of gastrointestinal endoscopy for children and newborns, developing the internal pediatric surgery department, adding an echo device for children, and creating a pediatric air and suction unit) at the Hospital Specialized pediatrics in Damsna. The reception department was also developed, two specialized hand surgery units, pediatric orthopedics, and oncology departments were created, and a tumor marker, immune, and hormone device was provided at Kafr El Dawwar General Hospital. A Fuji endoscopy unit was also created, and 2 respirators were provided. Industrial equipment and some medical supplies, developing the outpatient clinics building at Damanhour Fever Hospital, and developing and raising the efficiency of the laboratory At the Ramadhan Hospital, Damanhour, in addition to developing the outpatient clinics building at the Sadr Hospital, Damanhour. Childcare with a capacity of 14 beds, a nursery unit with a capacity of 28 incubators, And the creation of 4 intermediate care units for children, the establishment of a pooled blood bank, the development of the dental department (at Al-Rahmaniyah Central Hospital), and the development of a stroke dissolution care unit with a capacity of 2 beds, the development of pediatric care to reach a capacity of 13 beds, and the development of the pediatric department to reach a capacity of 14 beds. At Edku Central Hospital, in addition to providing (3 nurseries for children, a CT scan machine, and diagnostic scans) At the Dalingat Central Hospital.
He said that an intensive care unit with a capacity of 23 care beds had been established, a psoriasis treatment unit had been created, a urology endoscope and an ultrasound device had been provided for the dialysis unit, the outpatient clinics, the physical therapy department, and the kidney unit had been developed. Developing the laboratory to become a reference laboratory at Rashid Central Hospital, in addition to establishing a stroke dissolution care unit and surgical endoscopy service. Mahmoudiyah Central, 10 specialized intensive care beds were also created, including (dissolving a stroke, achalasia, and toxins), adding a cerebral palsy unit for children, and a bacteriological laboratory, at Housh Issa Central Hospital, where Developing the reception department, creating care beds in the intensive care unit to reach a capacity of 20 beds, and creating a stroke dissolution care unit at Abu Al Matamir Central Hospital, in addition to developing the intermediate care unit and creating 2 beds, and developing the reception and emergency department, and the laboratory at West Nubariya Central Hospital.
For his part, Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel-Gawad, Undersecretary of the Beheira Health Affairs Directorate, pointed out the provision of medical services to 9 million 941 thousand 967 citizens through 455 primary care centers and units, in addition to providing family planning services to 1 million 847 thousand 444 women, as some health units were developed to become family development centers and included (Kafr Daoud Family Development Center, Kom Al-Faraj, Al-Quni, and Western Qatar) were operated, in addition to developing and raising the efficiency of the rest of the health units to provide the best means of health care. Abdel-Jawad noted the need to raise the efficiency of human cadres to improve the level of medical services provided to citizens, and to pay attention to continuing medical education, as 1,708 people were trained through 60 training courses, to raise the efficiency of workers in the health sector in Beheira, noting the intensification of traffic to non-governmental medical facilities where traffic was carried out. 10,314 medical facilities, and 888 closure decisions were issued for not following licensing requirements.
