Al-Jalalah maintains its lead as the first private university in the Arab university rankings

Galala National University maintained its position as the first private university in the Arab universities classification (ARU). For the second year in a row, the university was ranked 68th in the Arab world and 27th at the level of Egyptian universities, which strengthens its position as one of the most prominent emerging universities in the region, which reflects a remarkable development in the performance and policy of its management with its continued progress in the regional rankings.

 

This year’s Arab classification came in its second edition under the title “Excellence and Creativity in Higher Education,” including 373 Arab universities, compared to only 208 universities last year, which reflects the expansion of the classification’s coverage and increased competitiveness among universities. Despite this challenge, the University was able The Majesty is to achieve an advanced position, supported by its distinguished performance in the fields of creativity, leadership and innovation, in addition to scientific research, teaching and learning, and local and international participation.

 

It is worth noting that the Arab classification of Arab universities was launched in cooperation between the Association of Arab Universities, the League of Arab States, the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, as the classification is based on 4 main indicators: quality of teaching and learning, excellence Faculty members 30%, scientific research 30%, leadership and innovation 20%, international cooperation and community service 20%.

 

At the international level, Galala University achieved a new achievement by entering the Green Metric classification for the year 2023, where it ranked 1031 in the world and 30 in Egypt, as this classification is considered one of the most prominent indicators for measuring the sustainability of universities in the world, and includes multiple criteria such as the educational system, energy and climate change, Infrastructure and risk management, transportation, water management.

 

These classifications reflect Galala University’s commitment to providing distinguished education and an academic environment that stimulates creativity and innovation. They also highlight the university’s tireless efforts to enhance its role in scientific research and community participation, in addition to its interest in issues of sustainability and environmental practices.

 

In this context, Dr. Mohamed El-Shenawy, President of Galala National University, expressed his happiness with this achievement, saying: “We are proud of the progress the university has achieved in regional and international classifications, indicating that this achievement reflects our commitment to providing a unique educational model that keeps pace with global changes and meets The aspirations of our students and faculty members, stressing the continuation of work to develop the educational and research system to achieve further progress and leadership.

 

Dr. Ihab Hassanein, Vice President of Galala University for Academic Affairs, added that the university’s future vision seeks to strengthen its position at the local and international levels, by implementing innovative strategies that focus on sustainability and academic excellence, and also aims to increase its participation in scientific research and pioneering projects that contribute to Achieving sustainable development and community service.
