المملكة: “Awn Al-Haram” is an innovative initiative to serve people with disabilities inside the Grand Mosque

The “Aid Al-Haram” initiative, implemented by the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque inside the Ancient House, is an innovative journey to serve people with disabilities, as it provides new solutions to facilitate their movement in the Grand Mosque.
The authority explained that the initiative takes place by activating large electric vehicles equipped with ramps suitable for all groups of people with disabilities.
The implementation mechanism begins by receiving them and facilitating their movement in the courtyards of the Grand Mosque by golf carts, with the presence of workers specialized in this field, and covers the courtyards of the Grand Mosque and inside the Jarul Tunnel.

Achieving the satisfaction of visitors and pilgrims

The Authority reported that the total number of persons with disabilities benefiting from this initiative during the year 1445 AH amounted to 46,590.
She stressed her endeavor to achieve the satisfaction of people with disabilities from visitors and pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques, and to provide an environment characterized by care and attention.
