المملكة: During 2024…the Red Crescent will provide 324,000 volunteer hours in Mecca

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region revealed volunteer statistics for the year 2024, and the number of volunteers reached 42,699 male and female volunteers, the number of male volunteers reached 24,502 volunteers, and the number of female volunteers reached 18,197 volunteers.
The statistics showed that the number of volunteer hours amounted to 324,362 volunteer hours, in which the Authority established 3,821 volunteer opportunities, which varied between providing emergency services to visitors to the House of God, pilgrims, and worshipers in the courtyards of the Holy Mosque in Mecca.
In addition to social, sports, and health volunteer opportunities, national events, international days, events, and exhibitions.

Awareness campaigns

The Authority implemented a number of awareness campaigns in places with human density, in addition to participating in marine activities in the governorates of Jeddah and Al-Qunfudhah and tourist areas in the Taif governorate.

The Authority’s volunteers, male and female, also carried out a number of courses in first aid to qualify male and female volunteers.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region confirmed its keenness to benefit from all human cadres who wish to join volunteer work to advance the development process and achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.
She explained that she is working to develop her male and female volunteers by organizing many specialized courses and qualifying them in accordance with the mission and work of the Authority.
She pointed out that it provides many volunteer opportunities for community members in several fields, including health, humanitarian, sports, environmental and awareness.
The Authority attracts volunteers from residents of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, and benefits from their efforts, energy, and humanitarian giving, through the volunteer platform of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.
